Visas are not required for stays up to 90 days. Longer stays require a visa.
No special inoculations or health precautions are required for entering France.

Asia and SPECIFIC COUNTRIES as South Africa, Iran…
Visa applications should be made well in advance of departure. One must allow time for the application, processing and reception of the required documents. Without the passport and visa one will not be allowed entry into France.

5) Money and money belt to hold all of your documents hidden under your clothes.
*Make sure you make at least two photocopies of all of your documents before you leave. Leave a set with your parents at home and have the other set in a secure location with you in France.

Clothing:
Casual attire: Suitable clothing for a temperate summer climate. Temperatures are 30-40oC (86-104oF) and the humidity is relatively low.
1) An appropriate number of t-shirts, shorts, skirts, and undergarments. Bring a pair of long pants and also a long sleeved jacket/sweatshirt in case of cooler weather. The relative temperature change of 6-7oC might necessitate these clothes for some.
2) Also bring comfortable shoes that are suitable for extended walks. (i.e. Running shoes or hiking boots) Sandals are also fine but know that you will be walking constantly so dress appropriately.
3) A swimsuit.
4) Your own towel and face cloth. There's a Laundromat in town but to save money one can bring a bag of laundry detergent and do the laundry in the bathtub. It's so hot there that everything dries in under an hour (not to mention the breeze) and you can hang it outside on the clothesline or outside your window.

OTHER TIPS
1 ) The Marché runs every Tuesday from the morning to the early afternoon. This is one of the oldest markets in France and has been in existence for over 200 years. There are no musical activities on Tuesday mornings as it is nice for the students to wander through the various displays and stands.
2) Internet access is possible in Vaison. There are a couple of internet cafés as well as access in one of the cafés.
3) Money and document security. As noted above, have photocopies separate from your documents. While you’re traveling, a money belt is a good investment as it is flat and is concealed by your clothing. Do not get one that wraps around your neck. You can either change all of your money before you go to France (budget accordingly) or withdraw maximum amounts using your debit bank card. There will be a maximum daily limit and a transaction fee so withdraw the maximum amount to save on the fees.
4) Pack lightly and it’s useful to have a good sized pack that has a hip transfer belt rather than a duffel bag or large suitcase.
